In his Kleinstadtnovelle (Small-Town Novella), the early deceased Ronald M. Schernikau draws the portrait of a young, homosexual love in conflict with the norms of a restrictive society. In a collective process, the young ensemble transforms the novel into an emphatic and direct theater evening between political prose and sensitive dialogs.
